Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT)
The Australian Government's Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) has responsibility for co-ordination of the Australian Awards for University Teaching, including the Awards presentation events.
There are five types of awards:
- Citations For Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning
- Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning
- Awards for Teaching Excellence
- Prime Minister's Award for Australian University Teacher of the Year
- Career Achievement Award
Nomination for these awards is by invitation of the Curtin Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Awards committee. Nominees must have been recognised internally, for example by winning a Curtin Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Award.
The guidelines are available from the OLT.
