Curtin Awards for Teaching Excellence
How to apply for a Teaching Excellence Award
The nine award categories are:
- Biological Sciences, Health and Related Studies (including Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Medicine, Nursing etc);
- Law, Economics, Business and Related Studies;
- Humanities and the Arts;
- Physical Sciences and Related Studies (including Architecture, Building and Planning, Engineering, Computing and Information Science);
- Social Sciences (including Education);
- Indigenous Education;
- Early Career;
- Priority Area - the priority area for the Awards for Teaching Excellence for 2008/09 is 'work integrated learning'. This category should be interpreted broadly and includes situated learning, practicum, clinical education, work placement, cooperative education etc.

Complete the Nomination Form. |

Complete the Written Statement.
The written statement is limited to a maximum of eight A4 pages. |

Provide a Curriculum Vitae |

Provide two References |

Fourteen (14) copies of all the documents (Nomination Form, Written Statement, Curriculum Vitae and References) should reach Megan Ellis, Office of Teaching and Learning, Building 105 Room 126, Bentley Campus by 5.00 pm on 27 July 2009. |

The Curtin EIT Awards Committee will select the Curtin EIT Award winners. |

In September 2009 the Vice Chancellor will announce the Curtin EIT Award for Teaching Excellence. Each Award winner will receive $3 000 and a signed certificate from the Vice Chancellor. |

The Curtin EIT Awards Committee is chaired by Professor Robyn Quin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education, with representation from all Faculty Teaching and Learning Committees, the Student Guild and previous Award winners.
